DC receives threat mail

SHILLONG: A person impersonating as IGP, CID Meghalaya has threatened Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills Pravin Bakshi.

The threat mail was sent from email id [email protected] on June 5.

Bakshi, meanwhile, lodged a complaint with Tura Police station in this regard and the matter was referred to CID.

Interestingly, the login was traced to have been sent through NIC Network from the system of one FE Sabhong, Assistant System Engineer, Election office of East Garo Hills and from Stever J Sangma, Inspector of Taxes, Tura.

Sources further said that police were trying to ascertain the real sender of the mail.
