Threat/ assault cases
Purnima Bhattacharjee lodged a complaint at Laban PS that since the last one year, her husband Suvajit Bhattacharjee has been assaulting her, demanding money from her and her family members and also threatened her with dire consequences.
Bhavna Narwani lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that her husband Vickey Narwani, his sister Jharna Narwani and his friend Sachin Kalra made defamatory comments on her and her family members and also threatened her with dire consequences.
Ribakordor Dkhar lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on July 15 at about 3 pm, her brother Niwani Dkhar assaulted Ewansaki Dkhar and also threatened her family members with dire consequences at Pyntei village (WJH). Police arrested the accused.
Accident case
On July 16 at about 4.30 pm, one truck (AS-01CC-8849) driven by Piwin Siangshai (49 yrs) dashed against another truck (JK-02AT-5736) driven by Ravinder Singh (50 yrs) at Mawryngkneng (EKH). As a result, Piwin Siangshai sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
On July 16 around 8.30 pm, one Maruti local taxi (ML-10-7990) driven by Lehborlang Majaw knocked down Brila Marngar at Mawprem, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted Civil Hospital, Shillong.
On July 14 around 2 pm, one Mahindra pick-up vehicle (ML-08-8638) knocked down Halima Bewa (80 yrs) at Patranga village under Rajabala OP (WGH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital at Guwahati, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Theft cases
One Radhey Shyam lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on July 14 around 3.30 am, miscreants broke into Meghalaya Cold Centre, Tura (WGH), stole cash Rs. 23,380 and electronic items valued around Rs. 1,72,260.
On July 12, one Bankitbor Nongbri stole gold ornaments valued around Rs. 9,000 and cash Rs. 10,000 from the residence of Remon Sing Rani at Nongwah under Mawngap OP (EKH).
Missing cases
Jin Kothang lodged a complaint at Ladrymbai OP that his wife Baris Dkhar (33) and their daughter Miss Ebhami Daka Dkhar (8) were found missing from their residence at Moolang village (EJH), since July 14, 2014.
Joynal Abedin lodged a complaint at Hallidayganj POP that on July 13 at about 10 am, his wife Komina Bibi (29) fled away from their residence at Kacharipara village (WGH). She also took along with her their two-year-old daughter and cash Rs. 32,000.
Vandalism
M.K War, JE, MeECL lodged a complaint at Khanapara PS that on July 13 night, unknown miscreants pelted stones at Jorbil, Killing MeECL Sub-Station (RB), damaging the windowpanes of the Sub-Station.
