City girl clears ARS exams

SHILLONG: Shillong girl Yvonne Angel Lyngdoh Mawphlang, has sucessfully cleared the Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS) examination 2013 whose results was announced on Friday.
The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB), New Delhi, had conducted the ARS examination.
Yvonne is currently an assistant professor at the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), West Bengal.
She is a postgraduate with major in horticulture (vegetable science). Yvonne had bagged three gold medals from the University of Horticultural Sciences at Bagalkot, Karnataka for her excellence in the field of vegetable science.
Yvonne completed her matriculation from Loreto Convent, Shillong, and HSSLC (science stream) from St. Mary’s College, Shillong before pursuing her B.Sc. (Horticultural Sciences) from Central Agricultural University College of Horticulture and Forestry, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh as a quota student from Meghalaya.
A resident of Wahdienglieng (Lower Risa Colony), Yvonne is the eldest daughter of Suzannah Lyngdoh Mawphlang and Joel E. Wahlang.
