I-League season to start on January 3

NEW DELHI: The eighth edition of the I-League is slated to start on January 3 2015, while the Federation Cup will precede the country’s premier league, commencing a month earlier from December 10-28, according to this season’s football calendar released by the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

The 69th edition of the Santosh Trophy zonal round is scheduled to start January 20, with the final round of the Nationals running from February 20 to March 10.

The 2nd Division I-League starts on November 20 and may stretch until May next year with the U-19 I-League kicking off from October.

Junior tournaments like the BC Roy Trophy and the Coca Cola Cup are also in November. The Women’s Nationals will take place in January. (Agencies)
