Loew made honorary citizen of hometown

Berlin: Germany’s World Cup-winning coach Joachim Loew is to be made an honorary citizen of his hometown of Schoenau im Schwarzwald, the town mayor said on Tuesday.

Loew, 54, was born and grew up in the town in the Black Forest of southwestern Germany which now counts 2,300 inhabitants. (Reuters)
