Smit come back from a goal down to win

SHILLONG: A brace from I Lyngshing saw Smit come from a goal down to defeat Nongkrem 2-1 in their First Division football league match, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, on Thursday afternoon.

Lyngshing’s goals came in the 55th and 59th minutes in response to H Nongsiej’s opener in the 38th minute for Nongkrem.

Meanwhile, in Wednesday’s game, Laban’s K Pale scored a goal on the hour mark, giving his side a 1-0 victory over Shillong United.

On Friday Laitumkhrah will play Laitlyngkot at 4:00pm.
