JOWAI: East Jaintia Hills Police have arrested one David Khongsit, an Assistant Engineer with CMCL (Star Cement) on molestation charge.
According to sources, Khongsit along with a friend on Sunday allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of a lady, who is the next door neighbour of his friend. A FIR in this connection was lodged on Monday morning. The accused was released on bail since molestation is a bailable offence. “We have registered a case under Section 354 of IPC”, a police officer said.
