SHILLONG: Promoted from the Second Division, Laitumkhrah SC demonstrated why they are a team to be feared in the First Division when they demolished Nongkrem 6-1 at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, on Wednesday.
All seven goals were actually scored by Laitumkhrah players, as the lone goal awarded to Nongkrem was adjudged to have been an own goal from W Kharkongor.
However, that should be easily forgiven as Laitumkhrah made hay on the day.
R Muinao began the deluge in the 10th minute, followed by a brace by J Tariang (15th minute, 62nd) and a hat-trick by A Owolesho, who scored all three of his goals in the second half (61st, 90th and 90+).
On Thursday Pohkseh will go up against Laitlyngkot at 4:00pm.
