SHILLONG: Laitlyngkot and Pohkseh were involved in a high-scoring battle in the First Division football league, organised by the Shillong Sports Association, at the JN Sports Complex, Polo, on Thursday, with the former coming through 3-2.
Laitlyngkot bagged an early lead thanks to a goal from D Kurkalang (2nd minute), but that was reversed by H Wahlang just a minute later.
Kurkalang scored his second goal in the 14th minute and the two teams went into half time with Laitlyngkot leading 2-1.
R Nongsiej increased the margin to 3-1 in the 80th minute, but Pohkseh got a goal back through R Kharkongor in the 82nd.
However, that proved to be the last goal of the game and Laitlyngkot therefore bagged three points.
