SHILLONG: North-Eastern Hill University will host the Shillong Zone Inter College Badminton and Table Tennis Tournament at its campus at Mawkynroh, Umshing, here from August 6.
The tournament is being organised by the university’s Sports Department and is open to men and women.
Eight teams are taking part in the men’s badminton event, with 10 in the women’s category.
The men’s teams are St Anthony’s College, Nongstoin College, St Edmund’s College, Shillong College, NEHU, Shillong Commerce College, UCC and Synod College
The women’s teams are Nongstoin College, UCC, St Anthony’s, Shillong Commerce, St Mary’s College, Shillong College, St Mary’s College of Teacher Education, St Edmund’s, Women’s College and NEHU.
There are seven teams each in the men’s and women’s table tennis tournament.
Men’s: St Anthony’s, UCC, St Edmund’s, Synod College, Shillong College, Shillong Commerce and NEHU.
Women’s: St Anthony’s, Lady Keane College, Shillong Commerce, UCC, Synod College and NEHU.
