ICAR training programme

SHILLONG: In view of the drought like situation in North East region due to recent climate change ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Meghalaya, organized a one-day awareness-cum-training programme under NICRA on August 2 with an objective to sensitize various stakeholders regarding adaptation and mitigation strategies under climate resilient agriculture and to recommend contingency plan to face drought like situations.

More than 180 farmers and farm women covering most of the districts of Meghalaya along with some NGOs working in the agriculture sector, State extension functionaries, media agencies and scientists attended the awareness programme.
