On August 1 at around 6.30 pm, police recovered the body of a truck driver identified as Ram Singh (49) who was an employee of Topcem Company from near the Cement factory at Cheruphi village East Jaintia Hills.
On July 28, Police arrested one Torak R Marak (18) for attempting to steal a motorcycle (AS-01P-9587) belonging to one Killingson R Marak from a parking place at Baghmara Bazar (SGH).
