NONGPOH: Peeved with her anti-organizational activities since 2011, the Lynti Jam Welfare & Development Association (LJWDA), which is one of the leading NGOs working in the field of disability in Ri-Bhoi District, has expelled its general secretary Genthsamanda Kharkongor with immediate effects.

Informing this, LJWDA president Sumarlang Swer said the decision was taken in the general body meeting held recently where all the members unanimously called for Kharkongor’s expulsion from the organization to thwart any further damage to the body.

He also informed that the meeting has elected Constantine Lyngdoh as the new general secretary.

He also said that Kharkongor did not submit any reports regarding the activities of the body in her capacity as general secretary for the past two years (2011-12 & 2012-13) and misused the name of the body for her vested interest and also tarnished the image of the body.

Swer said that the organization had served several notices to Kharkongor but she never responded.
