Assessment of extracted coal on August 9

SHILLONG: With the formation of the new committee by NGT on the issues related to the coal mining ban, the inspection team to assess the extracted coal will carry out its task from August 9.

The inspection ream will assess the quantity of coal lying in coal mines and depots so that the coal can be transported as per the guidelines of NGT.

The Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills district, has informed that the inspection and assessment team will visit the coal mines falling under the district from August 9 to 12 to make an assessment of the coal extracted.

All coal mine owners and traders have been asked to meet the inspection and assessment Team in the office of the Block Development Officer, C&RD Block Ranikor on August 9 at 10 am .
