NONGPOH: Peeved by the hues and cries of the people, especially the students’ community of the district, regarding the problems faced by them in obtaining birth and ST certificates, the Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CORP), on Tuesday demanded immediate appointment of government lawyers to tackle all legal matters relating to the procurement of the two crucial certificates.

CORP working president Bandari Ryntathiang and general secretary David Kharnaior met Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner Pooja Pandey and District & Session Judge Shallam at their respective offices here on Tuesday and placed the demand before them.
