NONGSTOIN: The Meghalaya Government Pharmacist Association on Wednesday presented a memorandum to the District Medical & Health Officer related to the disregard of the Health department to appoint a bonded pharmacist in West Khasi Hills.

The Association expressed regret that several pharmacists had completed their studies outside the State sponsored by the State Government but were lying unemployed at present.

The Association also advised the District Medical & Health Officer, West Khasi Hills to include a pharmacy expert in the interview panel whenever interviews for the post of pharmacists or store in-charges are conducted in future.

The Association also requested the DMHO to intervene into the matter and ensure that information on any vacancy of bonded pharmacist should be intimated to the Association.
