SHILLONG: There has been no communication between Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and his cabinet colleague HDR Lyngdoh after the latter met top leaders of Congress along with others.

Lyngdoh had visited Delhi along with his cabinet colleague Prestone Tynsong and MPCC chief DD Lapang to meet the AICC leaders.

“I have not contacted the Chief Minister after my return from Delhi, neither the Chief Minister contacted me”, Lyngdoh told reporters on Tuesday.

Lyngdoh said that he along with the delegation met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi and apprised him about the overall situation in the state.

Lyngdoh, however, did not give any direct reply to a question on whether they raised the issue of change of leadership with the party chief Sonia Gandhi and Rahul.

“It is the duty of party leaders like Lapang to apprise the AICC about the situation in the State”, Lyngdoh said.

Asked about the issue of leadership, Lyngdoh said, “as long as I am in the ministry, he ( Mukul Sangma) is my leader”.
