SHILLONG: The Field Exhibition Unit of DAVP, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will organize a five-day photo exhibition on Health and Family Welfare Awareness in the city at Nongrimmaw Community Hall-cum-Indoor Stadium, Laitumkhrah, from August 27.
The theme of the exhibition is ‘Wellness through Awareness’. Various topics like vaccination, breast feeding, pre- and post- natal care, sanitation, eye care, adolescent girl’s care and home remedies have been covered on which awareness would be generated through easy-to-grasp messages and photographs.
The Field Exhibition Officer, DAVP Shillong, Salman Haider has informed that the photo exhibition will be inaugurated by Nongrimmaw headman S.B. Nongdhar at 11 am. There is no entry fee and the exhibition is open to all. The exhibition will remain open daily from 11 am to 4 pm till August 31, he added.
