To avoid a collision with a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction, a motorbike (MLO5F – 6509) skidded while trying to make space as it was in the process of overtaking another vehicle ahead of it. The motorist and the pillion rider sustained injuries during the incident which happened at Mawpat, Shillong on August 31 at 8:20 pm. Bharat Bural (36, M) and Anisha Thapa (17, F) were admitted at NEIGRIHMS, Shillong.

A loaded truck heading towards Guwahati from Tripura fell off from a bridge after it developed some technical snag. The accident occurred on the Shillong Bypass at Thangshalai under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills on August 30 at 6:15 pm. Abdul Shiek (20, M) and Shahid Sheik (22, M) were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.
