SHILLONG: A CBI inquiry was sought to trace out the missing Acts from the Law department.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing said that many of the Acts with the Law department are not in Gazette format which indicate that the original Acts are missing.

She said that most of the Acts were supplied in plain papers and not in Gazette form with Government emblem after RTI queries were filed with the Law department.

Kharshiing said that there is a need to entrust the matter to the CBI, while adding that the organization would not be able to participate in the meeting to discuss the Acts which are related to addressing the issue of influx in the absence of the original Acts.
