SHILLONG: Eight schools from Saipung and Khliehriat blocks of East Jaintia Hills District participated in the District-level inter-school Debate & Quiz Competition organized by the Office of the District Sport Officer, East Jaintia Hills, recently at Fr. Fantin Memorial Hall of Khliehriat H.S. School.
Surajit Chanda of Khliehriat H.S. School was awarded the best individual debater while Bhalangki Dkhar of K.B. Memorial School, Bapung and W. Anas Sungoh of Musniang Sec. School, were awarded second and third prize, respectively.
Delight Phawa and Identify Siangshai of Evermore Sec. School, Moolang were the winners of the Quiz competition beating Pallavi Singh and Meshanki Sutong of Khliehriat H.S. School and Kamailang Lamo and Robert Infimate of Khliehriat Presbyterian H.S. School.
The Principal of Khliehriat H.S. School graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event was witnessed by teachers and students from various schools along with the members of the district sports association.
