Accident case

On August 29 around 6.30 pm, one Maruti car (number not known) driven by Plansing Sangma dashed against a roadside wall at Rongram (WGH). As a result, one occupant of the car Gatwin Ch Marak (60) died on the spot. After the incident, the driver fled away. A criminal case has been registered.

Electrocution

On September 1 around 5.30 pm, while Iaphilari Marbaniang (19) of Lumsohphoh, Lower Mawprem, Shillong, was taking bath in the residence of her relative at Laban, Shillong, she came in contact with an electric immersion rod in the bathroom and was electrocuted.

Theft

Stanly Laloo lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on September 1 around 2.30 pm, unknown miscreants broke into his house at Lumpariat Ladthalaboh, Jowai (WJH) and stole Rs. seven lakh.

Attempted murder

On September 1 around 5 am, Police conducted raid at Korepara village (NGH) and arrested one Hamidh B Marak (18) in connection with an attempted murder under Bajengdoba PS.

Molestation

On August 31 around 8.30 am, one Samuel Taggu (21) molested one nineteen-year-old girl student near Care Me Hostel, Laban, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

A person lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on August 29 around 12.30 pm, one Rongjeng Marak raped his sixteen-year-old niece at Sampalgre under Dadenggre PS (WGH).

Desecration

M.S Syiem lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on August 31 around 1 pm, he was informed by one W. Kharkongor, that the grave of his (complainant) mother, late B. Syiem, located at Lawmali, Shillong, had been desecrated by unknown miscreants. ATM fraud

NGT Violation

On August 29 around 1 am, while on vehicle checking duty at Sohpian, Nongstoin (WKH), Police detected one truck (AS-01-EC-2095) loading coal with intention to transport the same outside the State in violation of NGT order.

On August 30 around 8 pm, while on patrolling duty at New Nongstoin (WKH), Police detected one truck (ML-05H-9543) driven by Bokstarboll Mawlong (27) transporting coal in violation of NGT order.
