Skull recovered from forest near Mawkdok Bridge

SHILLONG: Sohra police on Saturday morning recovered the skull of an unidentified person from near the Mawkdok Bridge.

Ian Swer, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Sohra, informed that some residents of the village noticed the skull while they were searching for bees and informed the Police.

During inquiry, Police recovered the skull from a forested area near the Mawkdok Bridge known as Shlem U Nok.

Swer informed that the skull has been seized and would be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for identification. He also informed that Sohra Police were making attempts to recover the remaining body.

Earlier in May, the skull of a minor boy was found at Riangdo near Banglapluh village in West Khasi Hills.
