NONGSTOIN: An 8-year-old boy identified as Evenson Nongkynrieh of Rambrai village was washed away by the strong current of Rambrai River in West Khasi Hills on Saturday, a delayed report said on Monday. Nongkynrieh, a Class II student of St. John Bosco Secondary school, Rambrai, went for swimming along with his brother and a friend but suddenly strong current of the river washed him away. The body of Nongkynrih was recovered on Monday morning.
