Programme
Art of Living Shillong will organize a Yes+ Freedom Programme, which will be inaugurated by Governor K.K Paul on September 10 at 5 pm at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture, Bivar Road. The life-skill programme is designed for students and young professionals. The programme will focus on career counseling by experts, workshops and pulse diagnosis camp by a reputed Ayurveda doctor from Bangalore.
Workshop
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association, Ri Bhoi Unit, will hold a farmers’ workshop cum health camp on September 12 at Zonal Feed Mill, Umsning. Parliamentary Secretary Celestine Lyngdoh will be the chief guest.
Body recovered
Police on Monday recovered an unidentified decomposed body (approx. 50 years) from MUDA Parking Lot. Relatives have been requested to approach Cantonment Beat House or Shillong Civil Hospital morgue to identify the body.
Memorandum
The FKJGP Southern Riwar Zone has submitted a memorandum to Chief Engineer, PWD (Roads) to expedite the construction of the Wahjapuh Bridge, saying that the construction work of the bridge is very slack and it is the only route that connects villages like Majai and Tharia, located in the border areas.
