SBI fetes Tura teachers

SHILLONG: State Bank of India, Tura Region, on Tuesday organised a function to felicitate teachers of 20 schools from Tura.

Speaking on the occasion, Nixon Joseph, AGM, SBI, Garo Hills, said the Education sector was a focus area of community services banking of SBI in Garo Hills.

This year, the teachers were felicitated to express the gratitude of the society to the services being rendered by them. 40 teachers and heads of schools were felicitated on the occasion.

Parliamentary Secretary Noverfield Marak and West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi lauded the SBI for organising the function to honour the teachers. Fr. Januarius, Head master, Don Bosco School and Dr. K. Sheela , Dean, Home Science College, also spoke on the occasion.
