NGT ban violation
On September 10 around 5.30 am, Police detected five trucks AS-01-DD-6516 driven by Aibor Khyllait, AS-01-CC-6025 driven by Shyam Lal Nath, AS-18C-3277 driven by Bijoy Roy, ML-05G-0104 driven by Droland Khyllait and AS-01EC-5759 driven by Shanborlin Kharlyngdoh transporting coal in violation of NGT order at Mawmaram (EKH). All the trucks have been seized and the drivers detained.
Complaint
Two school teachers of Jalaphet Mootha LP School (EJH) lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that one Hopingstone Bareh, Chairman of the School Managing Committee has illegally terminated their services without obtaining approval from State Project Director, SSA, etc., and also threatened them with dire consequences.
Arrest
Police arrested two persons, Melsiful Thamar (18) and Youthki Dkhar, from Pyrtakuna village (EJH) in connection with a robbery case under Khliehriat PS.
Accident
On September 9 around 3.15 pm, one scooter (ML-10-2994) ridden by Gerald Suja (29) knocked down one minor girl Nakiwansaka (4) at Mawlai Phudmawrie, Shillong. As a result, victim sustained injuries and was removed to Shillong Civil Hospital and later referred to NEIGRIHMS.
On September 7 around 7 pm, one Bolero Pick-up (ML-06-6410) driven by Sawlibar Puwein dashed against one Maruti van (ML-06-3472) driven by Kiansing Lyngkhoi at Mawlangkhar village (WKH). As a result, driver and other occupants of Maruti van sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong and Civil Hospital Nongstoin.
Theft
On September 9 night, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti car (ML-05F-0285) belonging to Md. Hussain from Majestic Hotel, Polo, Shillong.
Rape
On September 8 around 3 pm, one Robin N Marak allegedly raped an eight-year-old girl at Warimandal (Bijasik) village under Songsak PS (EGH). Police arrested the accused person.
One person of Umryngksai village (WKH) lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on September 6 around 6 pm, one Md. Tobara Hussain allegedly raped his daughter.
Assault
On September 7 around 11.25 pm, one Chester Ryntathiang assaulted two persons K. Das and B. Rai of MeECL Sub-Station, Lad Nongkrem, Laitkor (EKH). Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
Tyngshain Biam lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on September 2 around 2 pm, one Omina Papang assaulted her in front of DC Office, Jowai (WJH) causing injuries to her.

Extortion calls
Japan Marak and Kroshbill Sangma jointly lodged a complaint at Bajengdoba PS (NGH) that on September 4 & 6, 2014 they received calls, SMS from anonymous caller demanding Rs. 5 lakh each from them and threatened them with dire consequences.
Forgery
Alma Pyngrope lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that her father used to supply coal and charcoal to various offices till 2002, after which he stopped the business due to his ill health. However, on September 5, 2014, she came to know that unknown miscreants had forged the signature of her father in his money receipt book in connection with supply of coal & charcoal to various offices.
