JOWAI: The Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) and the Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) have demanded that the inquiry report on the alleged misuse of JHADC funds by former CEM, M.B. Rymbai, be made public.

Leaders of both the pressure groups met the JHADC Chief Executive Member, Thombor Shiwat, on Monday and demanded that the findings of the inquiry committee should be made public.

“The people need to know the findings of the inquiry committee constituted to probe the alleged misappropriation of public money in the JHADC,” JYF president P Majaw stated.

Majaw, later, informed that the JHADC CEM had assured the pressure groups that the inquiry report would be made public very soon.

It may be mentioned here that former JHADC CEM, M.B. Rymbai, has been alleged to have misappropriated Rs. 1.15 crore meant for discretionary grants and gratuity relief.
