SHILLONG: The Additi-onal District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills B Mawlong has set an unusual precedence by refusing to meet people in his office chamber after 2 pm.
Interestingly, a notice in this regard is pasted on the door of Mawlong’s chamber in the Deputy Commissioner’s office. All other ADMs usually meet people even after 3 pm.
Even the Deputy Commissioner meets people late in the evening.
Aggrieved people complained that this is a very peculiar case as even the Chief Ministers, Cabinet Ministers and officers meet visitors after 2 pm.
