Rekha does a Madhubala in ‘Super Nani’
Bollywood’s evergreen beauty Rekha has dressed a la Madhubala’s character from “Mughal-e-Azam” for a song sequence in her upcoming movie “Super Nani”, where she will also reprise the magic of ageless Bollywood tracks.
Taking styling cues from iconic actresses like Madhubala and Waheeda, Rekha will dance to the tunes of various songs, like “Pyaar kiya toh darna kya”, all entwined into one particular song for the movie.
“In the song, Rekha will be seen dancing to some old classics dressed as iconic actresses such as Madhubala, Waheeda Rahmaan from their famous movies such as ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Howrah Bridge’ as part of the storyline,” a source close to the film’s unit said.
Rekha was initially hesitant to do the song, which is choreographed by Shabina Khan. But she is said to have given a go-ahead after much persuasion by the film’s unit, including director Indra Kumar. (IANS)
Miranda Cosgrove wins restraining order against obsessive fan
Actress singer-actress Miranda Cosgrove has been granted a restraining order against a male fan who threatened to commit suicide over his unrequited love.
The 21-year-old former ‘iCarly’ star requested the restraining order after the fan named Joshua Stockton allegedly had been following the actress endlessly using clues from social media posts. He reportedly also went to her campus at USC to see her, according to TMZ. Stockton’s obsession is not limited to the alleged stalking. He sent the actress gifts and later got upset because the packages were returned unopened.
Stockton then sent her a photo of the alleged boxes and his bandaged wrist on Twitter. Stockton said he would kill himself with a hairdryer in a bathtub. (PTI)
‘Golden Boy’ director criticises Sharon Stone
Italian director Pupi Avati says actress Sharon Stone was demanding and overbearing on the sets of their latest film ‘Golden Boy’.
Avati said he was initially very happy to have Stone, 56, on board for the movie but got a shock when she threw tantrums, said the Huffington Post. “It was a negotiation that bordered on ridiculousness, concerning embarrassing details, as if Italy was a third world country. By the way, we do have electricity in Italy,” he said.
The director said Stone’s antics didn’t end there, either. According to Avati, when Stone saw a television crew and photographers filming a scene, she allegedly left the set unannounced. “None of this is true. Ms Stone is the consummate professional,” her representative said in an email. (PTI)
