Centenary Puja celebrations
The Centenary celebrations of Jail Road Centenary Durga Puja Committee will be inaugurated by Home Minister Roshan Warjri on September 26 at 5 pm on the Jail Road Puja Mandap premises. A.L. Hek, Minister, IT etc., will be the guest of honour.
Swatch Bharat Campaign
The Shillong Cantonment, under the ‘Swatch Bharat Campaign’ will organise Run for Clean India, tree plantation, slogan competition, installation of garbage bins for disposal of junk, cleaning of toilets, proper parking of vehicles, cleanliness of corridor at workplace, painting of foothpaths and trees within the Cantonment area, removal of road side vegetation and cleaning of parks etc., will be carried out.
MUPSTA annual meet
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teacher Association, Jowai Unit, will hold its annual general meeting on September 27 at Tympang Club, Iawmusiang, Jowai, West Jaintia Hills District at 10 am. The Association has asked all the Upper Primary school teachers under Jowai Unit to attend the general meeting.
Workshop
A workshop on livestock farming for entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood will be organised at the intensive cattle development project office, Upper Shillong, on September 26. Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.

The Department of Orthopaedics, NEIGRIHMS, is hosting a zonal three-day CME on “Trends on Rehabilitation and Inclusive Development” from September 27-29. The Continuing Rehabilitation Programme is co-organized by Mobility India, Bangalore, with support from the United States Agency for International Development.
