NONGSTOIN: A road that was blacktopped barely five months ago developed pot holes raising serious questions on the quality of materials used by the implementing agency.

The approach road from New Nongstoin to Mawkhlam Nongpyndeng through Swahmawiong was metalled and blacktopped only a few months ago and the depression that surfaced on the road has prompted the angry public of Mawkhlam Nongpyndeng to demand the PWD (Roads) to withhold the payment of the contractor who implemented the project.

“The concerned authority should order the contractor to immediately repair the road,” people of the village said.
