Suspected drug peddler held in city

SHILLONG: Inspector S.A. Sangma lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on Sept 29 at around 4.55 pm, a woman identified as Rody Hmar was caught while peddling suspected narcotic substance at Madanrting, Block-E, Thembasuk, Shillong.

Police recovered and seized five golden tobacco tins containing yellow/orange powder suspected to be heroin weighing about 7.38 grams from her possession. Police arrested the accused.

Meanwhile, Rody Hmar lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on Sept 29 at around 5 pm, one George Kharkongor stole her ATM card and cash Rs.80,000 from her residence at Madanrting, Block-E, Thembasuk. Police arrested the accused.
