Competition

CPC will organize the S.K. Memorial drum beating (Dhak) and the Prasad Gupta Memorial drum beating (indigenous) competition on October 3 at 10 am at Rilbong Durga Puja Pandal. Cash prizes and medals will be awarded to the winners. CPC will also organised competitions among Durga Puja pandals of Greater Shillong in different categories – cleanliness, discipline, decorum, illumination, idols and sporting efforts. CPC will announce the result and distribute the prizes to the winning Puja pandals in its valedictory function after the festival.

Eid prayers

The Eid Ul Azha congregational prayer will be held on Monday at 8.30 am on the Mohammadia Al Hussainee mosque, Barapathar. The prayer will be lead by imam Hasibur Rahman. The mosque committee has extended its best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Eid Ul Azha.
