SHILLONG: A Meghalaya police officer has been arrested for allegedly molesting three girls in East Garo Hills.
Police said that the incident happened on Sunday night when UB Inspector A.J Sangma of East Garo Hills DEF molested three girls including two minors at his residence at Williamnagar (EGH)
Sangma was nabbed Sunday night from Williamnagar (district headquarters of West Garo Hills), based on an FIR lodged against him, official sources said on Monday.
While confirming the arrest and subsequent suspension of the police official, Home Minister Roshan Warjri said she has sought a report from the Williamnagar police on the incident.
