Lajong FC dominate Malki SC; Lywait claims hat trick for Risa Colony

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC dominated Malki SC with a 2-0 win in the Shillong Premiere League match in JN Stadium Polo, Shillong, here on Tuesday.

S. Lalmuanpuia and Rupert Nongrum scored one goal each to put the Reds in the top. The young Lajong side came back with a hard fight after they lost the last match to Nangkiew Irat.

The two goals came fromy Lalmuanpuia in the 47th minute and from Rupert Nongrum who converted the penalty in the 71st minute.

Meanwhile, in the Second Division match Mawkhar and Nongumlong drew 1-1. J. Sutnga scored for Nongumlong in the 22nd minute while E. Rynjah provided the equaliser goal for Mawkhar in the 33rd minute.

In the Third Division match, Risa Colony scored six goals against Nongsohphoh with W. Lywait scoring a hat trick. The match ended by 6-2 margin.

W. Lywait scored in the 4th minute, 39th minute and 40th minute. Other scorers were D. Dkhar scored in the 6th minute, E. Thabah in the 38th minute and M. Gaisah in the 41th minute. Nongsohphoh put up two consolation goals which came from Mangminliam in the 36th minute and S. Hawbiakmuan in the 53th minute.

In another Third division match, Lapalang defeated Lumdiengjri by 2-1.

Thanks to a brace goal from M. Kharkongor who scored both the goals for Lapalang which came in the 26th minute and in the 37th minute.

Earlier, Theo gave Lumdiengjri the lead in the 2nd minute but they were unable to defend and convert the opportunities.
