Legal workshop

The Committee on Juvenile Justice, Meghalaya Chapter, under the Chairmanship of Justice S.R. Sen, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya, is organizing a two-day workshop on “Sensitization of Police on Juvenile Justice” on October 18-19 in the auditorium of Yojana Bhawan, Main Secretariat Building, Shillong. The programme is being organized in collaboration with the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Social Welfare Department and the office of the Director General of Police, Meghalaya. Justice Madan B. Lokur, Judge, Supreme Court of India, has consented to be the chief guest during the programme.

Mission launch

Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will launch the Apiculture Mission on October 16 during a function at Polo Ground on October 16 at 11.30 am.

Teachers’ meet

Federation of all Meghalaya Adhoc Secondary Teachers’ Association will hold its general body meeting on October 18 at Stoneyland Primary School (Dwar Jyngkyrmen) at 10 am.

Music prog

The Department of Arts and Culture will organize Folk Nations Symphony live concert on October 19 at the State Central Library Auditorium from 6 pm.

Exhibition

The College of Teacher Education (PGT), Shillong, organized an exhibition of teaching aids on October 14 in the College as part of Radiance Week 2014. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. L. Cajee, Registrar and Controller of Examinations, NEHU, and a past pupil of the college.
