TURA: The A’chik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF) has claimed that it was not involved in the recent killing of a non-tribal at Abrong Wageasi on October 10 as appeared in the media.

“None of the members of the AMEF were involved in the incident in which a non-tribal was killed. It is the work of anti socials who are misusing the name of our organization for their personal gains,” commander-in-chief of the AMEF, Chang Matgrik, claimed.

The outfit also condemned the heinous murder of a 15-year-old girl from Williamnagar whose body was recovered from a forest, around five km from Williamnagar Town.

The outfit demanded that a proper inquiry should be initiated by the government into the killing of the innocent girl and also called for strong punishment to the perpetrator of the crime.
