MeECL employees issue deadline over demands

SHILLONG: The All MeSEB Unions’ and Associations’ Coordination Committee has issued a 45-day notice to the MeECL to address and implement its various demands.

In a memorandum submitted to the MeECL Chairman, the Committee threatened to resort to agitation if their demands were not met.

The Committee has been asking for bailout package from State Government on corporatization of MeECL (earlier MeSEB) besides constitution of the 7th Pay Commission due on January 1, 2015, among other demands.
