SHILLONG: The relatives of the missing woman, Dipika Falicia A Sangma, who was a live-in partner of police constable Keneth M Sangma, have expressed concern over the delay in action on the part of the police even after filing an FIR and subsequently seeking the intervention of DGP P.J.P. Hanaman.
It was on September 5 that an FIR was lodged against Keneth, a Constable posted in the 3rd MLP Bn at Kulang in West Khasi Hills and his mother after Dipika went missing.
As per the FIR filed by her sister Marjina A Sangma, Dipika had gone missing on August 9 after a quarrel with Keneth at their temporary residence at Balsri Gittim Boldak A’ding in Baghmara, South Garo Hills.
Later, a missing report was lodged on August 18 with Baghmara police.
The relatives alleged that Keneth and his mother did not cooperate with them when they had gone to inquire about the whereabouts of the missing woman.
As there was no response from the police, recently, the relatives sought the intervention of the DGP.
