Langsning, Wahingdoh share points in high voltage match

SHILLONG: Royal Wahingdoh came back from a goal behind to level the score with Langsning in their Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match here on Wednesday.
Bekay’s goal in the 87th minute was the game-changer for the Royals as they were heading towards losing after conceding a penalty.
Langsning were trying to win again after defeating them by  2-1 in the first leg. First, Victor Shadap headed a goal in the 20th minute  for Langsning to give the lead. Victor, along with Samson, troubled the Royals’ and succeeded in putting the pressure on their opponents early in the first half. But Wahingdoh’s Jackichand Singh got the equaliser goal in the 38th minute after sending a ball past Langsning inside the box. The scoreline was broken again by Langsning after being awarded a penalty in the 59th minutes after a sliding tackle by Wahingdoh’s defender, Loveday. Ailad directed his shot toward the corner, giving Langsning a one goal advantage with 2-1 margin.
With three minutes left from stoppage time, Bekay Bawar found an open space before advancing down to slide a shot into the nets to hand Wahingdoh’ s equaliser and ended the match with 2-2 draw.
Meanwhile, through the press release the Shillong Sports Association reminds those affiliated Clubs who have not sent their confirmation letters to participate in the Shillong Games 2014, are asked to do so within October 31.
