IIT Karagpur to organize spring fest

SHILLONG:  Spring Fest, the annual social and cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur organized by students will be held from January 23 to 26.
A statement by the organizers said that Spring Fest is one of the largest of its kind in Asia to be organized entirely by students.
Enthusiastic participants from all the major colleges of India throng to Kharagpur to this 4-day celebration of fun and  frolic.Spring Fest 2015 is the 56th edition of the fest.
This year Spring Fest has conducted nationwide prelims for two of its flagship events- Nukkad and Shuffle, in October in 7 cities all over India.  The elimination round of Wildfire- one of the biggest rock band competition in India is going live in  October.Launching famous bands like Pentagram, Underground Authority and many more, this is students’
one stop for fame and success.
Online submissions will be taken this year in association with NH7, making it one of the most awaited y competitive events of Spring FestThis edition of Spring Fest will feature  SF Idol in association  with the Shankar Mahadevan Academy of Music.
Online screening will be held providing a chance to meet and sing to Shankar Mahadevan himself.
Spring Fest conducts a multitude of events encompassing 9 genres and more than 90 events which are contested among the best in India.The social element of Spring Fest  – Pratigya aims to motivate people all over to pledge themselves to a cause to improve the society, one step at a time.
Star-nights are the main attraction of Spring Fest. Artists like Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, Salim-Sulaiman, KK, The Raghu Dixit Project, Agnee, Indian Ocean, Swarathma, Parikrama, Euphoria, Pentagram and many morel performances had  happened at Spring Fest in the past years. International bands like Monuments, TesseracT have rocked the audience at Spring Fest.
