School student held for theft

SHILLONG: A school student was arrested for stealing a laptop and a camera from the hostel of a higher secondary school here recently.

According to police, the laptop and a Nikon digital camera belonging to one Phirap Surong was stolen from the hostel of St. Thomas Higher Secondary School at Rynjah.

In this connection, police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Hill Crest School, Rynjah and recovered the stolen items from his possession.
