Vacancies in EJH DC’s office

JOWAI: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has demanded that interviews be conducted at the earliest for appointments to various vacant posts in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills.

An RTI report sought by HANM had earlier revealed that there were 13 vacant posts-seven posts for lower division assistants, four posts for drivers and two for peons-in the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

The HANM has learnt that all the posts were filled up temporary appointees “for smooth functioning of the office” even as the interview was being delayed.

Demanding the immediate termination of the services of all temporary appointees, the HANM urged the DC to initiate steps at the earliest to fill up the vacancies through proper procedure to appoint deserving candidates for the said posts.
