TURA: A GNLA militant from the GNLA outfit, who fled his sentry post in one of the outfit’s camp, surrendered before police in Tura on Monday.
A young recruit who joined the armed group in the month of June, this year, Tesang M Sangma alias Waljang (21), surrendered with a single barrel shot gun (SBML) before West Garo Hills SP in-charge B A Sangma.
Under the command of GNLA area commander Baichung, Tesang was given guard duty at one of the outfit’s camp located in Sakalgre region from where he fled before surfacing in Tura to surrender.
