Producer of  ’99 Homes’ Mohammed Al-Turki has praised actress and longtime friend Lindsay Lohan’s West End debut performance in ‘Speed-the-Plow’, calling it incredible. The Saudi film producer, who helmed 2012’s Richard Gere-starring indie hit ‘Arbitrage’, however, said the ‘Speed-the-Plow’ production overall was not great, said The Hollywood Reporter.
“I was in London and have seen Speed-the-Plow. I thought her performance was great. I’m going to be very honest, I think the production wasn’t great. But I think she wasn’t the problem.
“I think she’s incredible in it, has so much balls standing in front of an audience, Lindsay Lohan . And I think it will open doors for her to do maybe a good movie and get back on track,” he said.
The producer added that the 28-year-old actress should starty working on a theatre production as soon as ‘Speed-the-Plow’ finishes its run as it will be better for her career.
“But as a suggestion from me to her as a friend, I told her to book another play straight after in the West End, because I think she needs to work,” he added. (PTI)
