Uranium villages without power for four months

SHILLONG: Villages under the uranium belts in West Khasi Hills have been without power for the last four months.

According to the residents, though they had approached the authorities in Nongstoin, there was no favourable response.

The areas affected include Mawthabah, Nongbah Jynrin, Domiasiat, Nongtynger and New Nongtynger.
