SHILLONG:Another prominent display saw Shillong Lajong rout Rangdajied United 1-0 on Wednesday’s Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match at Polo Grounds. Lajong rode on S. Lalmuanpuia’s 27th minute strike that put the Reds in front before subsequently guiding them home.
In a Second Division match, Nongthymmai scored four goals past Sohryngkham for a 4-1 scoresheet. K. Rani scored the first goal twenty one minutes into the game before Sohryngkham levelled four minutes later through S. Kharpran. But Nongthymmai later earned three more goals through A. Sungoh in the 28th minute, an own goal by L. Warkhyllew in the 38th minute and M. Lalthangvana in the 41 minute.
Meanwhile, Jongksha made it 2-1 against Lawsohtun in a Third Division match at Polo Grounds. The first goal came when A. Rynjah converted his shot in the 5th minute while S. Rynjah made it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Lawsohtun reduced the deficit with the 55th minute goal scored by L. Nongrum.
