SHILLONG: Meghalaya Police struck late to avoid defeat in the Imperial Blue Shillong Premiere League match against Langsning here in Shillong, on Thursday.

It was an effort by MLP’s G. Kharmujai to equalise his side in the 84th minute after trailing by a goal. Earlier Langsning’s goal was netted by Victor Shadap who scored in the 67th minute.

Langsning did well to contain MLP despite the latter side creating a number of chances that could have altered the score line.

In a Second Division match, Mawkhar and Lumshyiap played out a goalless draw at Polo Grounds.

Nongrim Hills Sports Club and Jongksha Sports Club have qualified to the Second Division next season. Both the Teams topped their respective Groups in the Super League of the Third Division Tournament. They will clash to vie for the Championship in the final on November 8 at 12 noon at the J N complex.
