Deborah to attend launch of year-long women’s campaign at USTM

GUWAHATI: Social Welfare Minister, Deborah Marak will inaugurate a session during the launch of a year-long campaign titled “North East-The Women’s Campaign” at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya on Sunday.
The campaign is an initiative that has been conceptualized by Assam Youth for Change (AYFC), a Guwahati-based registered society.
The launching of the event will be marked by a panel discussion on the topic “Social, cultural and economic rights of the women in North East India,” which will be addressed by eminent speakers including activists, academicians, scholars and media professionals.
The session will be opened by Marak in the presence of USTM Vice chancellor, Dr PG Rao.
